1. John Calvin #calvins was a French lawyer who lived from 1509 to 1564. He converted to Protestant Christianity in the 1530s during a time when the French monarchy wanted to quell Protestant Reformation. In #Geneva, Calvin organized a Protestant community as well as composed and published an influential treatise, "Institutes of the Christian Religion" in 1536. This treatise tabulated Protestant teachings. #Calvin's community in Geneva was a missionary center and model Protestant communtiy. #rolemodel #protestantcommunitygoals
